Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari has announced that the COVID-19 lockdown, which is the federal government’s effort at preventing the spread of the virus, has been extended for another two weeks.
The president made the announcement in an address to the nation that was aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network on Monday, April 13.
According to the president, the coronavirus pandemic is not a joke and can be considered as a matter of life and death.
As expected, the president’s announcement triggered a lot of mixed reactions from Nigerian on social media.
